Field Engineer – Civil/Earthworks (Ar Rjum Gold Project)

About the role

The Civil/Earthworks Field Engineer will support the construction of the Ar Rjum gold project in Saudi Arabia. Working on‑site, you will ensure that civil, concrete, structural steel, earthwork and architectural installations are built to code, on schedule and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed work plans and sequencing for civil and earthworks activities.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve constructability and design issues.
• Provide field engineering support to superintendents, verifying materials, quantities and installation methods.
• Perform and document inspections, safety checks and quality control for concrete, steel, excavation/backfill and architectural finishes.
• Track progress, prepare reports and assist with turnover to startup/commissioning.
• Interpret design and vendor drawings, specifications and applicable industrial codes.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience conducting detailed field inspections and producing clear documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, on‑site environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of concrete construction methods and standards.
• Experience with structural steel installation and inspection.
• Proficiency in earthworks planning, excavation and backfill operations.
• Understanding of architectural finishes and related quality checks.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and codes.
