Field Engineer - Structural

About the role

The Field Structural Engineer will monitor and supervise structural construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, contractual requirements, and relevant codes and standards. This role supports the delivery of large‑scale building and hospitality projects by safeguarding structural integrity, construction quality, safety, and schedule adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect foundations, retaining structures, concrete works, steel structures, and building frameworks to verify compliance with design and quality requirements.
• Monitor site workmanship, witness material inspections and testing, and resolve structural construction issues promptly.
• Review structural shop drawings, material submissions, and contractor proposals for design intent compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, quantity surveyors, and construction teams to manage design‑construction interfaces.
• Support value‑engineering assessments and provide technical recommendations for on‑site structural challenges.
• Ensure construction activities follow project quality plans, verify material test reports, and manage non‑conformities.
• Conduct regular site inspections, track progress against milestones, and maintain accurate site records.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and project managers on structural matters and participate in coordination meetings.
