Financial Markets Advisory Director – Middle East

About the role

BlackRock’s Financial Markets Advisory (FMA) team is seeking a Director to lead and expand its advisory business across the Middle East. The role combines strategic guidance with hands‑on execution for sovereign wealth funds, central banks, government entities, and other financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex capital‑markets and transaction advisory projects.
• Advise senior clients on financing structures, investment vehicles, and portfolio optimisation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate expertise from BlackRock’s Capital Markets, Aladdin, Research and other businesses.
• Develop new business opportunities and deepen relationships with key regional stakeholders.
• Shape FMA’s strategic direction in the Middle East and act as a connector across the firm.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, investment banking or transaction advisory.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale advisory engagements across multiple sectors and asset classes.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to engage senior public‑sector and private‑sector stakeholders.
• Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
