Freight Forwarding Settlement Officer / Senior Officer

About the role

A freight forwarding team supporting automotive logistics operations is looking for a detail-oriented Settlement Officer / Senior Officer. The role manages the end-to-end shipment settlement process, focusing on vendor invoice verification, shipment cost reconciliation, AP/AR processing and documentation control. It is an on-site position in Saudi Arabia with a package of SAR 8,000 to 10,000.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end settlement for assigned freight forwarding shipments
• Verify about 5-6 vendor/carrier invoices per shipment against shipment documents, rates, quotations, contracts and charges
• Spot incorrect, duplicate or missing charges and resolve them with vendors and Operations
• Calculate shipment cost, revenue and gross margin before settlement
• Record AP and AR transactions in the ERP/logistics system and ensure invoices are correctly coded and allocated
• Prepare settlement files for Finance & Accounting review, reconcile vendor statements and follow up on payments and customer billing
• Collect and verify delivery orders, air waybills, bills of lading and other documents, keeping accurate digital records
• Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, carriers, customs and clearance agents, resolving discrepancies and acting as the link between operations and finance

Required profile

• 2-4+ years of experience in freight forwarding, preferably at Officer/Senior Officer level
• Strong hands-on experience in carrier/vendor invoice settlement
• Experience with high shipment volumes and multiple invoices per shipment
• Experience in automotive logistics or the automobile industry is preferred
