General Accounting Manager

About the role

The General Accounting Manager will lead SDC's accounting function, ensuring timely supplier payments, accurate ledger entries, and the preparation of reliable financial statements aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the General Ledger to ensure compliance with financial accounting requirements and international standards.
• Control postings from subsidiary ledgers, including accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll.
• Advise on accounting activities, ensuring accurate registration of transactions and assets.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to guarantee data integrity and support management decisions.
• Prepare and manage the General Ledger budget, monitor expenditures, and reconcile variances.
• Issue and review monthly trial balances, identify discrepancies, and initiate corrective actions.
• Develop and enforce department policies, procedures, and controls.
• Guide central accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate cost allocation and timely payments.
• Support project accounting by preparing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and invoice documentation.
• Supervise the preparation and review of financial statements and accompanying notes.

Required profile

• Proven ability to oversee general ledger operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Experience advising on and executing accounting activities across multiple functions.
• Strong knowledge of internal control implementation and budget management.
• Capability to supervise financial reporting and trial balance preparation.
