General Manager – Architecture & Design

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our Architecture & Design division in Riyadh. The role combines architectural expertise with strong business acumen to drive project delivery, client growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategic direction and oversee the overall performance of the Architecture & Design division.
• Develop and execute business growth plans, identify new opportunities and expand the client portfolio.
• Lead planning, design, coordination and delivery of hospitality, F&B, retail, commercial and mixed‑use projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams including architects, interior designers, BIM managers, BIM architects, BIM modelers and project coordinators.
• Establish design standards, technical excellence and best practices across all projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project profitability, resource planning, budgets and overall business performance.
• Promote innovation through new technologies, BIM methodologies and sustainable design practices.
• Mentor department leaders and foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; professional registration or licence preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in architecture and design, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record leading architecture firms or large multidisciplinary design departments.
• Strong portfolio of hospitality, F&B, retail, commercial and mixed‑use projects.
• Demonstrated success in business development, client acquisition and contract negotiations.
• Commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, project budgets and operational performance.
