General Manager – Arts & Culture

About the role

The General Manager will lead the flagship Arts & Culture programme, overseeing its strategic direction, operational readiness and long‑term value creation. This senior role carries full P&L responsibility and ensures the destination delivers a distinctive cultural experience while meeting commercial and governance objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall strategy, operating model and business plan for the arts and culture programme, with full P&L accountability.
• Drive commercial growth across key revenue streams and ensure delivery of financial targets.
• Oversee pre‑opening mobilisation, ensuring people, processes, systems and governance are ready for launch.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations to provide safe, efficient and guest‑centric experiences while continuously improving service quality.
• Define and execute the cultural proposition, curating programming that reflects national heritage and supports commercial objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, cultural institutions, strategic partners and other external stakeholders.
• Act as the primary interface with Asset Management and QIC, reporting performance, strategic issues and key risks.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability and cross‑functional collaboration.
