General Manager – Chemical Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a General Manager to lead our chemical manufacturing business in Riyadh. The role carries full responsibility for performance, strategy, operations and growth across Saudi Arabia, the GCC and export markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s business strategy and annual operating plan.
• Take full responsibility for revenue, profitability, cash flow and budget performance.
• Lead sales growth across Saudi Arabia, the GCC and selected export markets.
• Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors and strategic partners.
• Improve pricing, product mix, margins and customer profitability.
• Oversee manufacturing operations, quality, maintenance and production planning.
• Improve plant productivity, capacity utilization, yield and cost efficiency.
• Ensure reliable procurement, inventory control and supply‑chain performance.
• Lead new‑product development and technical‑service initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Build, develop and retain a high‑performing leadership team.
• Provide regular business updates and recommendations to the Board.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 12‑15 years of relevant experience, including senior leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience managing a profit‑and‑loss function within chemicals, paints, coatings, pigments, inks, plastics or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong commercial, operational and financial‑management capabilities.
• Experience in manufacturing optimization, business development and supply‑chain management.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is strongly preferred.
