GIS Specialist

About the role

Parsons is looking for a highly skilled GIS Specialist to lead geospatial activities and provide specialist support across large‑scale infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. You will develop, manage and maintain project GIS databases, ensuring accurate spatial information for utilities, roads, drainage and other assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead GIS activities and provide specialist geospatial support across the project.
• Develop, manage, and maintain project GIS databases and geodatabases.
• Collect, process, validate, analyze, and visualize spatial data.
• Maintain accurate GIS layers for infrastructure, utilities, buildings, roads, pavements, drainage and other assets.
• Integrate survey, CAD, BIM, GPS, satellite, drone and field data into GIS platforms.
• Ensure all spatial information is correctly georeferenced and aligned with approved project coordinate systems.
• Review GIS data for accuracy, completeness, consistency and compliance with project requirements.
• Establish and maintain GIS data standards, naming conventions, metadata and data structures.
• Perform spatial analysis to support engineering, construction, planning, logistics and asset management activities.
• Develop and maintain GIS maps, drawings, dashboards and visualization products.
• Coordinate with survey and BIM teams to ensure accurate control points, benchmarks and integrated datasets.
• Manage data conversion, imports, exports, editing, cleaning and transformation across GIS, CAD and engineering formats.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional GIS experience.
• Proven ability to manage and maintain project geodatabases.
• Experience integrating survey, CAD, BIM, GPS, satellite and drone data.
• Strong knowledge of coordinate reference systems, georeferencing and metadata management.
