Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead Sahm Capital’s finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and robust internal controls. This senior position reports to senior management and shapes the firm’s financial strategy across accounting, treasury, taxation, and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance department, establishing strong internal controls.
• Oversee all accounting activities and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage the financial closing process and ensure timely reporting.
• Direct treasury operations, bank account management, cash‑flow monitoring and liquidity.
• Ensure proper handling and reconciliation of client money and operational accounts in line with Saudi regulations.
• Coordinate Zakat, VAT and corporate tax compliance with ZATCA requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities.
• Lead budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, modelling and variance analysis.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse trends and advise senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional qualification preferred (CPA, SOCPA, ACCA, CFA or MBA).
• Minimum 8 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a well‑established financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Zakat, VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
