Head of HR – Saudi Arabia Branch

About the role

The Head of HR for the Saudi Arabia branch will lead all human resources and administration functions, ensuring alignment with the Group HR strategy and local regulatory requirements. This senior position provides strategic guidance to senior management and oversees the effective delivery of HR operations across the branch.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the branch HR strategy in line with Group objectives and annual KPIs.
• Maintain a reporting dashboard covering all HR metrics and share updates with Group HR.
• Ensure compliance with SAMA regulations for hiring, transfers, off‑boarding and reporting.
• Design and implement HR initiatives that boost employee morale, retention and employer branding.
• Prepare the annual staff cost budget, monitor expenditures and manage compensation and benefits programs.
• Oversee payroll, end‑of‑service accruals, medical insurance, expatriate permits, visas and social insurance formalities.
• Establish and continuously improve HR systems, internal controls and policies to meet audit and regulatory standards.
• Provide counsel on sensitive employment matters, disciplinary actions and terminations, engaging legal counsel when required.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior HR leadership, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law and SAMA regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to develop and manage HR budgets and strategic plans.
• Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, succession planning and performance management.
