Hostess – Luxury Restaurant Guest Experience

About the role

The Hostess creates a warm, professional first and last impression for every guest in a luxury restaurant environment. Working closely with the service and culinary teams, the Hostess manages reservations, seating, and guest flow while ensuring each interaction reflects Rosewood’s ultra‑luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and escort guests in a personalized, friendly manner.
• Accurately manage reservations and maintain up‑to‑date guest information using the approved reservation system.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimise guest flow and table allocation.
• Recognise returning guests, VIPs and special occasions, and communicate preferences to the operational team.
• Answer telephone inquiries promptly and maintain accurate waiting lists.
• Support service recovery by addressing guest concerns and escalating when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the reception area, menus and guest‑facing collateral.
• Assist with VIP arrangements, special events and guest recognition initiatives.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑standards environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing guest needs and restaurant dynamics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation management systems.
• Knowledge of luxury hospitality standards (Rosewood, Forbes, LQA).
