HSE Manager

About the role

Assystem is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental governance for complex infrastructure projects in Riyadh. The role involves ensuring compliance with strict safety and regulatory standards while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee project HSE plans, procedures, KPIs and compliance monitoring across applicable workstreams.
• Review contractor and consultant HSE submissions, monitor performance, conduct audits and manage close‑out actions.
• Lead HSE risk reviews, incident reporting, lessons learned and coordinate emergency preparedness.
• Advise project leadership on HSE risks, legal requirements and corrective actions.
• Promote a proactive HSE culture and enforce stop‑work authority when unsafe conditions exist.
• Ensure all activities comply with national and international standards and ethical rules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in HSE governance, compliance monitoring and reporting.
• NEBOSH IGC/Diploma, IOSH certification and ISO 45001/14001 training preferred; strong awareness of Saudi HSE regulations.
