HSE Manager (Saudi National)

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm operating in the Middle East, is looking for a detail-oriented HSE Manager to join its site supervision team in Riyadh. The role is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing health, safety and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations and international standards. Only Saudi nationals are considered.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures and programs aligned with Saudi labor laws and international best practice
• Carry out risk assessments and hazard analyses and recommend mitigation measures
• Investigate incidents and accidents, analyse root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Manage HSE compliance audits and inspections
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees, contractors and stakeholders
• Maintain HSE documentation, records and reports for regulatory submissions
• Monitor safety performance metrics, KPIs and trends to drive continuous improvement
• Work with department heads and operational teams to embed safety in daily work
• Ensure safety equipment and emergency response systems are maintained and calibrated
• Keep up with changes in Saudi regulations, OSHA standards and industry best practice
• Lead emergency response planning and run regular drills

Required profile

• Saudi national; minimum 12 years of professional experience in HSE management or related safety roles
• Proven expertise in risk assessment, hazard identification and incident investigation
• Strong knowledge of Saudi labor laws, local regulations and international safety standards
• Experience creating and maintaining HSE documentation and compliance records
• Preferred: NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent HSE certification
• Preferred: experience with ARAMCO standards or similar large-scale industrial operations

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Written and verbal communication in English and Arabic
• Ability to deliver effective HSE training programs
