ICU Registrar

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated ICU Registrar to join our critical care team. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality medical care to critically ill patients, working closely with senior physicians and multidisciplinary staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary medical care for ICU patients, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic critical conditions.
• Perform routine clinical assessments, examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust therapies as needed, and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Maintain precise patient records, documenting all assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team, providing explanations of conditions and procedures.
• Collaborate with consultants, residents, nurses, and other professionals during rounds, case discussions, and team meetings.
• Uphold professional standards, ethics, patient confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
• Stay updated with medical guidelines, research, and hospital policies.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
• Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant specialty.
• Membership or Fellowship in a Royal College (or equivalent) meeting registrar criteria.
• Valid certificate recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) with mandatory dataflow verification.
• Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience in an ICU setting.
