Instrumentation & Control Engineer (I&C) – Site Inspector

About the role

The Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer acts as the client’s on‑site representative, ensuring that all I&C works for TSE pipelines and reservoir facilities are installed, tested and commissioned to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily I&C activities, including installation of field instruments, sensors, transmitters, analyzers, PLC panels and associated cabling.
• Conduct inspections and loop checks to verify compliance with project specifications, NWC/EXPRO requirements and international standards (IEC, ISA, IEEE).
• Enforce health, safety and environmental procedures during installation, testing and energisation.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, SCADA, civil, QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Identify non‑conformances, report risks and support timely corrective actions.
• Validate readiness of I&C systems for pre‑commissioning, loop testing and final hand‑over to operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in instrumentation and control engineering on large‑scale pipeline or reservoir projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi regulatory requirements and international codes (IEC, ISA, IEEE).
• Ability to read and interpret IFC drawings, method statements and inspection test plans.
• Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary coordination.
