Internal Audit Lead

About the role

The Internal Audit Lead provides independent, risk‑based assurance for the Aviation Academy’s governance, training operations and support functions. This role ensures that the Academy’s activities meet high standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and compliance frameworks across training delivery, academic quality, safety and regulatory areas.
• Plan, execute and report on internal audits, ensuring findings are actionable and aligned with the Academy’s objectives.
• Contribute to the Internal Audit Center of Excellence initiatives and share best practices.
• Review project‑based and operational activities to confirm adherence to approved policies, budgets and performance targets.
• Support continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to processes and controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, preferably within an aviation or training environment.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and provide objective, evidence‑based assessments.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
