Internal Audit Planning & QA Expert

About the role

The Internal Audit Planning & QA Expert will lead the design and execution of the internal audit strategy, ensuring that audit activities align with regulatory requirements and best practices. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and supporting risk mitigation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update internal audit strategy, objectives, quality‑assurance guidelines, charters, policies, and procedures.
• Define audit KPIs and set performance targets to monitor service quality.
• Conduct interviews with functional owners to map processes, identify risks, and gather insights.
• Support the Risks and Analytics team in building a risk register and mitigation plans.
• Consolidate audit programs into an annual plan, specifying audit scope, frequency, and schedule.
• Coordinate ongoing audit projects, ensuring timely reporting and successful completion.
• Perform quality‑assurance checks, gap assessments, and sampling to evaluate audit efficiency and compliance.
• Provide training to the audit team to enhance technical capabilities.
• Compile audit reports, track findings, and follow up on corrective actions with internal functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit planning, quality assurance, and risk management.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders and audit teams.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating cross‑functional initiatives.
