Internal Audit – Treasury Lead

About the role

The Internal Audit – Treasury Lead will oversee day‑to‑day internal auditing of Riyad Bank’s treasury functions. The role ensures that internal controls, policies and procedures are properly applied, risks are identified, and any fraudulent activities are detected and addressed.

Key responsibilities

• Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and monitor adherence across the audit team.
• Assist the Head of Internal Audit Unit in supervising daily operations of the Internal Audit unit.
• Contribute to the development of the annual audit plan and ensure its alignment with the bank’s overall audit strategy.
• Monitor execution of audit programs, providing necessary support to audit teams.
• Lead audit teams to verify that all treasury transactions are genuine, authorized, and compliant with bank policies.
• Review audit reports for completeness, accuracy, and actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate audit findings with business units, Risk, Legal and Compliance functions to plan corrective actions.
• Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, including external auditors.
• Provide independent opinions on compliance with internal policies to senior audit leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit within a banking environment.
• Strong understanding of treasury operations, internal controls and risk management.
• Ability to supervise and develop audit team members.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Effective communication and coordination with cross‑functional teams.
