Invoice Matching Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Invoice Matching Team Lead to manage daily 3‑way matching, reconciliation and exception resolution within a fast‑paced warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily 3‑way matching of supplier invoices against purchase orders, goods receipt notes, returns and supporting documents.
• Verify quantities, prices, item references and receiving status before closing transactions.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies such as duplicate invoices, quantity mismatches and documentation errors.
• Coordinate with Receiving, Stock Control, Finance, Procurement and suppliers to close outstanding issues.
• Prioritise high‑value, aged and business‑critical unmatched transactions and ensure timely closure.
• Allocate tasks, monitor team productivity, accuracy and workload, and review complex cases.
• Maintain audit‑ready records and monitor KPIs like matching completion, exception rate and ageing.
• Identify recurring issues and support process improvement, standardisation and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in invoice matching, reconciliation, accounts payable, inventory or warehouse administration.
• Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 3‑way matching, purchase orders, goods receipts and returns.
• Understanding of warehouse and inventory transaction flows.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP/WMS systems.
• Advanced Excel for reconciliation and reporting.
