IT Desktop Support Engineer (Backfill – Part‑Time)

About the role

This part‑time contract provides back‑fill support while the primary engineer is on leave. You will be the first point of contact for desktop, laptop, printer and peripheral issues at an arcade centre in Riyadh.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and repair desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Provide desk‑side support and PC break/fix services.
• Perform basic Windows administration and support Mac/Linux devices when needed.
• Diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN networking problems, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP.
• Deliver smart‑hands assistance for routers, switches, racks and cabling.
• Log and manage incidents using ServiceNow or Remedy, analysing repeat calls and suggesting preventive actions.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure field support.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and handle a flexible schedule.
• Physical ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Required skills

• Hardware, software and OS troubleshooting.
• Desktop and laptop installation and repair.
• Printer and peripheral setup.
• LAN/WAN networking basics – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP.
• Desk‑side support and PC break/fix.
• Windows administration (Mac/Linux preferred).
• Smart‑hands work on routers, switches, racks and cabling.
• Ticketing tools: ServiceNow, Remedy.
