IT Security Specialist

About the role

Geidea is seeking an IT Security Specialist to develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. The role involves designing security controls, evaluating technologies, and responding to incidents to protect the company’s systems, networks and data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security measures for computers, networks and data.
• Evaluate, recommend and deploy security technologies and tools.
• Handle security incidents and manage incident response processes.
• Contribute to IT risk identification, classification and enterprise risk management.
• Perform technical security projects and meet defined deadlines.
• Manage user access, permissions and privileged accounts.
• Research current threats and vulnerabilities to keep defenses up‑to‑date.
• Configure and maintain security systems such as AV, EDR, FIM, NDR, DLP, data classification and email security.
• Support internal and external audits, including PCI and regulatory audits.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of professional experience in IT security.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience with security technologies and incident handling.

• Intrusion detection and prevention.
• Security incident handling and incident management.
• Anti‑virus, endpoint detection and response (EDR).
• File integrity monitoring (FIM).
• Data loss prevention (DLP) and data classification.
• Email security.
• Network detection and response (NDR), TACACS, network access control.
• Privileged access management and identity access management.
• Cloud security (AWS, OCI, GCP, Azure) and multi‑factor authentication.
