IT Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join Saudi Telecom Company in Riyadh. The role involves analysing existing IT systems, providing technical advice, and ensuring reliable service delivery for internal users and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine IT support activities within the defined scope.
• Implement approved technology support policies, processes and procedures.
• Participate in building complex user‑interface applications and back‑end databases using various web development, programming and scripting tools.
• Monitor and recommend modifications to existing IT systems and procedures to meet STC’s needs.
• Provide advice and support to service personnel for resolving specific customer issues.
• Maintain backup systems and disaster‑recovery services to ensure data integrity.
• Assist in certification and installation of complex, non‑standard hardware and software.
• Coordinate quality checks on new hardware/software releases and give feedback to vendors.
• Escalate major problems to appropriate teams or vendors with defined resolution timelines.
• Develop reports on complex user technical requirements and vendor capabilities.
• Contribute to large projects involving external vendors or developers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing or a related discipline.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in technical service and maintenance.
• Proven ability to work with users, technology teams and vendors to deliver effective solutions.
