Junior Accountant – Cost Analysis & AP

About the role

Bayut is looking for a Junior Accountant to support its regional operations. The role focuses on cost analysis, accounts payable, fixed‑asset management and month‑end reporting within a fast‑paced property portal environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own general‑ledger accounts and ensure consistent cost allocations.
• Manage the monthly accrual process and post transactions to ledgers.
• Review invoices, obtain approvals, and process payments.
• Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end closing, balance‑sheet reconciliations and inter‑company postings.
• Prepare internal management reports and performance analyses.
• Update the fixed‑asset register and capital‑expenditure reporting.
• Support tax return preparation and ensure compliance with KSA tax regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement of finance processes and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3‑5 years of G/L experience in a high‑volume environment and 1‑2 years in cost analysis.
• Strong knowledge of KSA tax compliance and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Proficiency in purchase‑order software.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
