Junior Accountant

About the role
As a Junior Accountant you will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and preparing reports. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to develop core accounting skills while working closely with senior accountants.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining financial records by accurately recording day‑to‑day financial transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, bills, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, card statements and other financial documents.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and periodic reports.
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, journal entries and ledger maintenance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Professional certification such as CA, ACCA or CPA is preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
