Junior Network Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Junior Network Maintenance Technician will support the operation and upkeep of STC's telecommunications infrastructure in Riyadh. This entry‑level position involves on‑site monitoring, routine maintenance, and coordination with help‑desk staff to ensure reliable service for end users.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in reconfiguring network equipment according to established guidelines.
• Perform ad‑hoc preventive and corrective maintenance on networks and participate in system upgrades.
• Identify network and system faults, escalating issues to restore functionality.
• Monitor STC networks (PSTN, Data, PLMN, International Gateways) to meet quality standards.
• Report fraud cases to senior staff for investigation.
• Participate in scheduled Maintenance Downtime activities to minimize service impact.
• Collect long‑duration call information in coordination with SNOC and relay to seniors.
• Coordinate with Billing & Collection Support on customer complaint information.
• Execute subscriber meter‑reading collection from PSTN switches for billing purposes.
• Implement disaster recovery plans (e.g., 999, 997, 996, 24×7 surveillance) as directed.
• Follow operational and technical service delivery policies to ensure controlled work.
• Resolve technical problems and manage ticket status within defined timeframes.
• Operate and monitor system and network components according to procedures.
• Maintain backup systems for disaster recovery.
• Assist in managing custom IT and network applications, implementing enhancements.
• Undertake parameter maintenance for financial applications.

Required profile

• Coordinate front‑line Help Desk officers to deliver technical support.
• Handle user administration tasks such as profile management and reporting.
• Perform systems operations and resolve medium‑level escalation queries.
• Undertake database administration activities.
