Key Account Manager – Modern Trade (KSA Nationals)

About the role

The Key Account Manager will lead the management of modern‑trade key accounts across Saudi Arabia, driving sales growth and ensuring seamless coordination with internal functions. The role focuses on building strong relationships with national‑level customers and delivering on revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned modern‑trade key accounts and coordinate national‑level sales activities.
• Develop and execute sales plans and budgets to meet or exceed annual targets.
• Negotiate contracts, marketing plans, listing fees, rebates, shelf space, returns and BDA agreements.
• Maintain regular market visits to monitor coverage, competitor activity, product availability and sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing to support merchandising, promotions and trade marketing initiatives.
• Track account P&L, KPIs, fulfillment rates, returns and collections.
• Ensure efficient distribution and compliance with sales administration procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of modern‑trade sales or key‑account management experience, preferably in FMCG or food distribution.
• Strong negotiation, communication, relationship‑management and analytical abilities.
• Good knowledge of modern‑trade operations, sales planning, account P&L, KPIs and distribution management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM or sales‑reporting systems (advantageous).
