Lead Site Manager – EHV Substation project

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Site Manager to oversee the execution of an EHV Substation project from mobilization through construction, erection and commissioning. The role acts as the GE site representative for the customer, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while delivering the project on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Overall Site Lead Manager for execution of the Sub‑Station Project within the project time frame.
• GE Site Representative for the Customer, maintaining a high level of customer relationship and satisfaction.
• Establish the GEV Site Management Process, Site Environment Health & Safety Policy Plan, Security, Housekeeping, Fire Protection and Quality Assurance Policy on the construction site.
• Implement the overall project safety program and ensure adherence to national, regional and local regulatory safety & health codes.
• Establish site infrastructure, rules, organization, resource plan and monthly expense costing.
• Ensure corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented and develop project‑specific procedures when needed.
• Plan and schedule all site execution activities.
• Review project cost and schedule performance, coordinating with the project planning & cost controller.
• Monitor and analyze safety, cost, schedule and quality performance and take corrective actions.
• Control project expenditures for equipment, material and services to stay within budget.
• Manage and coordinate all subcontractors (Civil / MEP / Electrical / Testing & Commissioning) on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Coordinate daily activities and progress reporting with the customer.
• Review installation drawings and ensure execution as per the drawings.
• Forecast critical tasks and material requirements in advance to avoid delays.
• Implement installation method statements and risk assessments.
• Receive equipment/materials and arrange inspection with the client.
• Report non‑conformances related to equipment or component failures.
• Monitor and control safety and security of site materials.
• Develop red‑markup drawing modifications for As‑Built drawings.
• Report ROE for completed activities.
• Oversee SE responsibilities in case of absence and support ITO team with site visits.

Required profile

• Accountable for the quality of own work.
• Subject to direct operations supervision and prescribed work instructions.
• Executes within a well‑defined operations framework.
