Lead Specialist, Data Science & Analytics II

About the role

The Lead Specialist, Data Science & Analytics II will act as a technical leader and senior practitioner, driving the design, development, deployment and scaling of machine‑learning and AI solutions across Maaden’s mining, processing, operations and enterprise functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of ML/AI initiatives – from problem framing, data exploration and feature engineering to model development, validation and MLOps hand‑over.
• Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines and databases in partnership with data‑engineering teams.
• Ensure models are production‑grade, compliant with data‑governance and AI standards, and integrated into enterprise systems, control platforms and digital twins.
• Perform statistical analysis and data‑mining to uncover patterns, trends and actionable insights.
• Translate business needs into AI/analytics solutions, build value hypotheses, KPIs and road‑maps.
• Drive experimentation, model versioning, automated retraining and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Senior‑level data science professional with proven experience leading end‑to‑end ML projects.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, AI standards and MLOps practices.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with business units, data engineering and cloud/OT architecture teams.
