Lead Technician, Mechanical

About the role

MAADEN is seeking a Lead Technician, Mechanical to head mechanical maintenance activities on its Rolling/Finishing lines in Ras Al Khair. The role ensures equipment reliability, safety, and optimal performance while supporting the company’s ambitious growth in the Saudi mining sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shift‑based mechanical maintenance execution, focusing on breakdowns, preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM).
• Supervise contractors and internal teams, ensuring LOTO permits and safety compliance.
• Coach technicians during troubleshooting, verify quality of repairs, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Plan and prepare work packs: walk‑downs, parts/tools identification, resource coordination.
• Maintain static, rotating, pneumatic and hydraulic components, performing precision tasks such as alignment, leveling, balancing, and bearing mounting/dismounting.
• Identify repeat failures, recommend design modifications, and support implementation.
• Ensure proper rigging, lifting preparation, and PPE inspection before execution.
• Record all activities accurately in the eAM CMMS, close work orders on time, and support failure investigations and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma with technical apprenticeship.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance execution, job planning, spare management, and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Familiarity with CMMS, ERP systems, MS Office, and AI‑related software.
