Legal Associate – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

Abdulaziz Alsuhayman Law Firm is seeking a motivated Legal Associate to support its corporate and commercial practice. The role offers exposure to high‑value transactions, cross‑border matters, and complex dispute resolution while working closely with senior partners.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare a variety of legal documents, including commercial contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, and service agreements.
• Provide clear legal advice and practical recommendations to clients on complex transactions.
• Analyze, summarize, and propose amendments to intricate legal documents with meticulous attention to detail.
• Support due‑diligence processes and assist in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
• Prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, and briefs for commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
• Develop work plans, allocate tasks, manage risks, track billable hours, and maintain organized files using document‑management and time‑tracking tools.
• Conduct legal research on applicable Saudi laws, Sharia principles, and relevant judicial precedents.
• Write articles and newsletters to enhance institutional knowledge and client communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or Sharia; LL.M preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in reputable law firms.
• Fluent legal drafting skills in both Arabic and English.
• Familiarity with legal technology tools for document and task management.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi law, Sharia, commercial and business law, with experience in local and cross‑border matters.
• Practical understanding of corporate law, compliance, commercial contracts, and litigation/arbitration procedures.
