Legal Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Manager to join a prestigious and discreet organisation in Riyadh. The role will lead the company’s legal function, providing strategic counsel to senior management and ensuring full compliance with Saudi Arabian laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert legal counsel on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of complex legal documents and commercial contracts.
• Identify, analyse and mitigate potential legal risks across the organisation.
• Develop, implement and maintain internal governance policies and procedures to ensure full legal compliance.
• Manage all litigation, disputes and regulatory proceedings, coordinating external counsel as required.
• Advise on corporate governance to uphold the highest standards of practice.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in Saudi Arabia that could impact the business.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide comprehensive legal support for business activities.
• Oversee legal risk management across all business units.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Provide training to staff on relevant legal matters.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer with a degree in Law (LLB, JD or equivalent) from a reputable university.
• Substantial post‑qualification experience, preferably in a leading law firm or large in‑house corporate legal department.
• In‑depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian corporate and commercial law.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Strong analytical abilities with a pragmatic, commercially‑focused approach.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines.
• High degree of professional ethics, integrity and discretion.
