Logistics Operations Supervisor

About the role

A Logistics Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the movement of goods and ensuring efficient supply chain management. The position is based in Al Khobar and involves leading a logistics team to maintain high‑quality, cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage logistics staff including warehouse personnel, coordinators and support teams.
• Train new and existing employees on policies, safety procedures and logistics processes.
• Create and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing for operational demand.
• Oversee daily logistics activities such as shipment coordination, receiving, storing, inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Analyse process efficiency, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to reduce turnaround time.
• Ensure goods are accurate, damage‑free and meet quality standards through strict inventory checks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records, monitor stock levels and conduct regular physical counts.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, manage carrier relationships and negotiate rates.
• Plan optimal transportation routes to minimise costs and meet delivery deadlines.
• Track logistics KPIs (on‑time delivery, transportation cost, inventory turnover) and drive performance.
• Enforce compliance with local regulations and safety policies, especially for hazardous materials.
• Resolve logistical issues such as delayed shipments, inventory discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
