Maintenance Technician – Depot Equipment

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance of depot equipment and workshop machinery, ensuring safe and reliable operation in line with standards and EHS requirements. The role involves troubleshooting, inspections, and supporting breakdown recovery to maintain equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on depot equipment and workshop machinery.
• Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, repair, adjustment and replacement of defective components.
• Conduct routine inspections, condition monitoring and support emergency maintenance interventions.
• Record maintenance activities in a CMMS and prepare maintenance reports.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent technical certification.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in railway, metro, LRT, depot equipment or industrial environments.
• Medical fitness for railway maintenance activities and successful background verification.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Interpretation of technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Use of testing and measuring instruments.
• Experience with CMMS for recording interventions.
• Application of Lock‑Out Tag‑Out (LOTO) safety procedures.
