Manager, Contracts & Claims

About the role

The Manager, Contracts & Claims supports project teams in ensuring compliance with client contracts, anticipating risks, and preparing claims and contractual correspondence. This role works closely with Project Managers, Directors, and the Commercial Contracts team to safeguard the company's contractual interests.

Key responsibilities

• Review contractual documents and variation orders (VOs) for risk and compliance.
• Assist in negotiating variations with client agents and validate VOs issued to subcontractors.
• Support commercial teams on major subcontract agreements and vendor claims.
• Prepare claim notices, claim particulars, and coordinate with project planners for extensions of time (EoT) claims.
• Maintain tracking logs, risk registers, and monthly dashboards for variations, claims, and disputes.
• Implement contract management procedures to improve processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
• Coordinate and attend commercial/contract meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Advise on project handover, closeout, and assist in obtaining Taking Over Performance Certificates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering.
• 10‑12 years of experience in construction, with at least 7‑8 years as a Contracts Administrator or Manager.
• Strong technical and construction background on infrastructure sites.
• Experience handling claims and familiarity with legal terminology.
• Excellent face‑to‑face communication and ability to follow senior guidelines.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
