Manager – Fraud, Waste & Abuse AI Engineer

About the role

The FWA AI Engineer Manager leads the design, development, testing and deployment of AI solutions that detect and investigate fraud, waste and abuse. Working closely with the FWA Lead, data scientists and investigators, you will translate business requirements and data‑science models into scalable, cloud‑native production systems that add measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Assess technical feasibility of approved FWA use cases and define solution approaches.
• Build and optimise AI models for fraud detection, anomaly detection, graph analytics and document intelligence on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop APIs, scoring services and integration components to embed AI outputs into operational workflows.
• Deploy solutions to production, coordinate release planning and ensure smooth transition from development to live environments.
• Conduct technical testing, support user‑acceptance testing and validate solution performance.
• Maintain and continuously improve deployed AI solutions, incorporating model updates and new business requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering AI/ML solutions into production environments.
• Strong background in cloud‑native development, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and translate complex models into operational tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
