Mechanical Engineer – Construction Supervision / PMCM

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to supervise mechanical installations and provide technical coordination, testing and commissioning on a construction project in Jeddah. The role ensures that all mechanical works comply with approved designs, specifications and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting and other mechanical systems throughout the project.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and installation methodologies.
• Inspect installations, verify materials, equipment and workmanship.
• Coordinate mechanical works with architectural, structural and electrical disciplines.
• Review RFIs, resolve technical issues with contractors and design team.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and record non‑conformances.
• Witness system testing, commissioning and performance checks.
• Review as‑built drawings, O&M manuals and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Consultancy experience in construction supervision and PMCM assignments.
• Experience with mechanical systems in industrial buildings and supporting facilities.
• Preferably prior work on MODON projects.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting systems.
• Testing and commissioning practices.
• Ability to interpret coordinated drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; BIM coordination experience is an advantage.
