Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance you will ensure optimal performance and reliability of a wide range of industrial equipment. You will work closely with senior engineers and technicians to diagnose issues, implement preventative programs, and support continuous improvement of mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission and heavy‑duty structures.
• Diagnose mechanical faults such as bearing failures, hydraulic leaks and gearbox issues on conveyor systems and mobile machinery.
• Participate in technical projects aimed at reliability upgrades, lubrication programs and fabrication modifications.
• Follow strict safety protocols, including Lockout‑Tagout (LOTO), to maintain a zero‑harm environment.
• Document maintenance activities, equipment history and spare‑part usage in the CMMS.
• Engage in training on welding techniques, predictive maintenance (vibration analysis) and other safety standards.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of mechanical principles, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and materials science.
• Hands‑on mindset with a willingness to work directly on the shop floor.
• Analytical problem‑solving ability to identify root causes and implement durable solutions.
• Proactive attitude toward learning new technical skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures.
