Medical Procurement Supervisor

About the role

The Medical Procurement Supervisor will lead the acquisition of medical equipment, devices and consumables for a hospital in Dammam. The role ensures that all purchases meet regulatory standards, are cost-effective and delivered on time to support patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requests for medical items and generate purchase orders.
• Identify and evaluate vendors, obtain competitive quotations and negotiate terms.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations and hospital procurement policies.
• Coordinate with biomedical engineering and clinical teams to verify technical specifications.
• Track orders through delivery, manage inventory levels and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitor spend, implement cost-optimization initiatives and report on procurement performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering or a related healthcare field.
• Proven experience in medical procurement.
• Familiarity with SFDA and hospital standards.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CSCP or Lean Six Sigma are preferred.
