About the role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger, supporting month‑end closing and complying with IFRS and local VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and review General Ledger transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper accounting treatment.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments during month‑end closing.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure accounting treatments comply with IFRS standards and company policies.
• Support VAT activities and ensure compliance.
• Assist internal and external auditors as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS principles and financial reporting.
• Practical experience in GL accounting and closing activities.
• Good understanding of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Fluent in English.
• FMVA, CMA, or DipIFR certifications are an advantage.
