Occupational Health & Safety Specialist – Saudi Nationals

About the role

The Occupational Health & Safety Specialist will ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment within Abdullah Al Othaim's factory operations. The role focuses on implementing health, safety, and hygiene practices that meet food safety regulations and local legal requirements while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain OHS policies and procedures aligned with food industry standards and Saudi regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and hygiene audits across production, warehousing and utility areas.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses, producing detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Monitor safety performance indicators and prepare periodic compliance reports.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and HR to embed safety and hygiene practices into daily operations.
• Support emergency preparedness, fire safety, chemical handling, machinery safety and ergonomics programs.
• Maintain accurate safety records, permits and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Food Science, Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of OHS experience, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Professional safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food hygiene practices.
• Excellent communication, training and report‑writing skills.
