About the role

The OpenShift Operations & IBM CP4I Administrator is a systems infrastructure specialist responsible for designing, deploying, securing, and maintaining a hybrid‑cloud integration architecture. The role sits at the intersection of Cloud DevOps and Middleware Engineering, ensuring high availability and automated scaling of IBM Cloud Pak for Integration on Red Hat OpenShift.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, architect, install, and configure Red Hat OpenShift clusters across hybrid‑cloud environments.
• Deploy and manage IBM Cloud Pak for Integration components (IBM MQ, API Connect, ACE, Event Streams, DataPower) using Operator Lifecycle Managers.
• Implement security controls: RBAC, OAuth, Keycloak/IAM, SSL/TLS certificates.
• Design persistent storage solutions with Software‑Defined Storage engines and oversee zero‑downtime upgrades, patching, and node updates.
• Configure APM dashboards, automate multi‑tenant provisioning via GitOps, and troubleshoot cluster degradation, storage failures, and networking issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience managing production‑grade Red Hat OpenShift clusters and administering IBM CP4I components.
• Strong analytical and systemic debugging abilities with attention to container density logs and compute sizing.

• Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP), OKD, Kubernetes, CoreOS.
• IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, IBM MQ, API Connect, ACE, Event Streams, DataPower.
• Linux CLI, Bash, Python scripting, OpenShift CLI (oc), kubectl.
• Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF), Ceph, Portworx, CSI plugins.
• RBAC, OAuth, Keycloak/IAM, SSL/TLS certificate management.
