Operations & Maintenance & Handover Manager - Rail

About the role

Egis is seeking an experienced professional to lead operations, maintenance and handover activities for rail infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures safety, regulatory compliance and operational excellence across all rail assets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of rail infrastructure, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to optimise asset performance and minimise downtime.
• Lead handover processes for rail systems, assets and facilities, ensuring thorough documentation and seamless transitions.
• Direct, mentor and train maintenance teams on technical procedures, safety protocols and performance expectations.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to complete maintenance and operational tasks on time.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, asset conditions and handover documentation for audit purposes.
• Identify inefficiencies, propose process improvements and manage stakeholder communications regarding schedules and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian rail regulations and organisational policies.
• Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance operations and conduct risk assessments with mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in rail operations and maintenance management.
• Proven track record in managing asset handovers and transition projects.
• Strong people‑management and team‑leadership abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of rail infrastructure systems and maintenance practices.
