Operations Oversight Senior Specialist

About the role

The Operations Oversight Senior Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring security operations across ports. Working with minimal supervision, the role ensures compliance with ZATCA strategic priorities, supports law‑enforcement collaboration and drives continuous improvement of operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate security operation plans for ports, highlighting gaps and best practices.
• Collaborate with law‑enforcement authorities to minimize operational violations on port premises.
• Ensure compliance with procedures for destruction and seizure of restricted, smuggled, or unauthorized goods.
• Follow up on implementation of projects, manage documentation and maintain archiving systems for future data retrieval.
• Conduct periodic quality‑assurance checks, identify operational gaps and trigger updates to policies and procedures.
• Implement corrective actions derived from KPI assessments and internal audit findings in coordination with port managers.
• Report technical or operational issues that may affect service quality and produce regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support junior staff, provide training, prioritize tasks and monitor workflow to ensure efficient execution.

Required profile

• Capable of operating with minimal supervision while adhering to established guidelines and procedures.
• Strong analytical ability to investigate expense variances and suggest corrective actions.
• Experience in coordinating security operations, preferably within a port or logistics environment.
• Proven ability to work with law‑enforcement agencies and internal cross‑functional teams.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
