Planning Engineer

About the role

AECOM is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Planning Engineer to join its Riyadh team. You will develop, integrate, and monitor comprehensive project schedules for large‑scale infrastructure initiatives, providing strategic insights that keep projects on track.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and integrate master schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover phases.
• Review and validate contractor work breakdown structures and multi‑level schedules (Level 1‑4) for accuracy.
• Establish progress measurement methodologies aligned with contractual milestones and schedule of values.
• Monitor critical and near‑critical activities, identify schedule risks and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contractors and stakeholders to track progress and ensure alignment with project scope.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting schedule status and risks.
