PMO Manager

About the role

The PMO Manager oversees the organization’s project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering measurable business value. This role establishes governance frameworks, monitors performance, and provides executive insights to support effective decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall project portfolio, tracking performance, benefits realization, and value delivery.
• Ensure projects are aligned with corporate strategy and support prioritization and sequencing decisions.
• Develop and maintain PMO policies, methodologies, and standards, enforcing consistent application across all projects.
• Monitor project health, risks, issues, and dependencies; oversee portfolio‑level change control.
• Consolidate portfolio reports and dashboards, delivering insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Support governance boards, steering committees, and facilitate portfolio review meetings.
• Oversee resource allocation, capacity planning, and quality assurance activities.
• Participate in vendor evaluation, selection, and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and manage high‑performing teams.
• Strong judgment to identify and address low performance, with a focus on fairness and non‑discrimination.
• Capability to anticipate problems, make timely decisions, and take ownership of outcomes.
• Experience translating corporate goals into actionable business plans and monitoring their execution.
