Pool Attendant

About the role

The Pool Attendant ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment for guests at the Ummahat Islands resort. Working full‑time, you will support recreational activities with a friendly, upbeat attitude while adhering to Marriott’s service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck and surrounding areas daily.
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere, greeting guests and addressing their needs promptly.
• Monitor pool activity, enforce facility rules, and respond to emergencies according to local procedures.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Collect, fold, and store towels following company guidelines.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect company assets and confidential information.
• Assist guests with disabilities and ensure inclusive service.
• Operate point‑of‑sale or computer systems to record work‑related information.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, moving on slippery surfaces, and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior experience required; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
• Ability to work full‑time in an outdoor, hospitality environment.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
