Power Service Electrician

About the role

Saudi Diesel Equipment Company (SDEC) is seeking a skilled Power Service Electrician to join its service team. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and upgrading industrial generators and related electrical systems to minimise equipment downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Perform voltage changes on generators according to customer specifications.
• Re‑wire, adjust, and install control panels, voltage regulators, and other electrical components.
• Diagnose and repair alternator issues, adjust speed controls, and conduct load‑bank testing.
• Use electronic software tools to diagnose, reprogram, and calibrate generator controllers.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
• Document all repairs, service actions, and parts usage accurately.
• Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor and Service Manager on project estimates and progress.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to QHSE policies.

Required profile

• Experience working with industrial generators and electrical equipment.
• Ability to follow electrical codes, blueprints, and safety standards.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication with supervisors and peers.
