Principal Contract Development Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Contract Development Specialist to own the full contract lifecycle, from drafting to renewal, ensuring every agreement is legally robust and supports our strategic goals. This senior position works closely with procurement, finance, legal and business units to drive optimal contract outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts for goods, services and other business transactions.
• Customize contract templates to meet specific business needs while maintaining compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance and legal teams to align contract terms with organizational objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract negotiations with clients, suppliers and vendors.
• Provide risk assessments, recommend mitigation strategies and advise on clause modifications.
• Ensure contracts comply with relevant laws and regulations, including data protection and labor statutes.
• Oversee contract execution, renewal and performance monitoring.
• Resolve disputes or breaches in partnership with legal counsel.
• Prepare regular reports on contract status, compliance and potential risks for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field; a law degree or professional legal certification is a strong advantage.
• 6–10 years of experience in contract management, legal advisory or a comparable role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and assess contractual risk.

Required skills

• Proficiency with contract management software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
