Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will support ALEC’s high‑end interior projects across hospitality, retail and commercial sectors in Riyadh. You will ensure timely acquisition of materials and services, optimise supplier performance and uphold budgetary and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify reliable suppliers and assess quality and pricing of consumables.
• Visit sites early, attend weekly online meetings with project teams and align procurement with project priorities.
• Manage the full procurement cycle in the HIVE system: receive requests, issue RFQs, prepare purchase orders and obtain approvals.
• Register new suppliers with the ERP team and maintain accurate supplier data.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations, clarify technical/commercial queries and ensure on‑time offers.
• Prepare comparison charts, procurement reports and coordinate management approvals.
• Negotiate competitive prices while safeguarding quality and delivery terms.
• Monitor stock levels, coordinate with warehouse/storekeepers and project teams to avoid shortages.
• Maintain procurement records in HIVE and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented commercial professional with experience in construction or related sectors.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate market trends and supplier proposals.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with project teams, consultants and suppliers.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple procurement requests simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the HIVE procurement system.
• Experience using ERP systems for supplier registration and data management.
• Competence in preparing RFQs, purchase orders and procurement documentation.
• Negotiation and market analysis capabilities.
